The Nikko Shadow Deluxe is one of the most distinctive competition over/under shotguns produced in Japan during the golden era of trap and live pigeon shooting. Manufactured by Nikko Japan, the company closely associated with the famed Winchester Model 101, the Shadow Deluxe was designed as a serious target gun and features one of the most recognizable rib systems ever fitted to a production shotgun.
This example is chambered in 12 gauge with 2.75" chambers and fitted with 29.75-inch barrels choked Improved Modified (.025") and Full (.035"). Weighing 8 pounds 3 ounces, it possesses the deliberate weight and balance characteristics preferred by dedicated trap and live pigeon shooters, providing a smooth swing and excellent follow-through on longer crossing and rising targets.
The defining feature of this shotgun is its exceptionally rare 3-tier air rib. The long barrels and tight choke combination make this configuration particularly well suited to trap shooting, live pigeon competition, and other target disciplines where dense patterns and smooth handling characteristics are desired.
