Description:
Parker shotgun 240396 shipped to W.A. Abel sporting goods in Syracuse, NY during 1937. Barrel date code is July, 1937.
This Parker skeet gun has very attractive figure in the wood ranging from marbling to stripes in the forend. The stock sports an original checkered butt in Parker fashion. The barrels have a reinforced forend loop for the beavertail. Twin ivory beads are installed. The beavertail has the correct reinforcing bolt. Bores are shiny and gun is tight on face. Ejectors work as designed and top lever is still right of center. Single selective trigger functions as designed. Gun is built on a 1 1/2 frame giving it an overall weight of 7 pounds 2 ounces.
Condition of this 90 year old gun is amazing. Most skeet guns were used heavily. This one has great blueing with very few marks. Wood has some handling marks but finish is in great shape which really highlights the grain of the stocks. There is significant case coloring remaining on this great clays gun!
Leg of mutton case is not included, Pictured for demonstration purposes only. It is not for sale. If you want/need a case, I have others which can be added.
