Here is a fabulous 12 gauge boxlock ejector by Henry Monk of Chester, built circa 1920. The barrels are 25" with a machined Churchill rib. The tubes are engraved: HENRY MONK. CHESTER. The chambers are 2 1/2" and the bores are excellent, choked .000/.030 (true cylinder/improved modified.) The gun locks up tight, and the ejectors are strong and in time. The action features arcaded fences, and excellent border and scroll engraving. The fore-end has an Anson release. The beautiful figured stock has checkered side-panels, and measures 1 5/8" x 2 1/8" x 14 5/8" over a ribbed horn butt-plate. There is very slight cast off (for a right hand shot.) The weight is 5 lbs 15 oz. The gun comes in a canvas and leather case. An excellent upland double that you can carry all day.
