Cyl. & Mod.), 2 3/4" chambers as proved at 3 1/4 tons, Double triggers, Scalloped action back, Splinter forend with a Deeley & Edge pull down release, Horn tip on the forend, Straight hand stock at 14 5/16 x 1 9/16 x 2 1/4" over a checkered butt, Slight Cast-Off for the right hand, Very nice game gun weight of 6 lbs. 13 oz., 90% coverage of period scroll engraving, Fairly decent wood with nice color, No case colors remain, The barrel black from 1969 at 99%, The barrel striking is excellent, The wood finish at 95%, The checkering is at 97%, The barrels are excellent plus inside and out. In 1897 Taylor along with John Deeley patented the detachable lock version of the Anson & Deeley action known as the Droplock here in the U. S. This design is still being produced to this very day.
