Description:
Offered here is a classic Winchester Model 42 chambered in .410 bore with a 26 inch barrel, manufactured circa 1956. The barrel is marked Improved Cylinder and features the desirable ribless field configuration with a brass bead front sight. This example remains in excellent overall condition with only light, honest handling marks consistent with careful use. The original blued finish shows minor edge thinning in high contact areas, but retains strong overall appearance. The bore is bright, clean, and free from pitting or frosting. Mechanically, the shotgun is excellent.

The Model 42 is widely regarded as the finest pump action .410 ever produced in America. Built on its own scaled frame rather than a modified 20 gauge action, the Model 42 offers superior balance, reliability, and handling.
