Description:
This Winchester was produced in 1941 in the last year of production. The rifle's serial number is 1005078. This rifle is chambered to shoot the 218 Bee cartridge. The bore is in very fine bright condition. The barrel is the standard 24 inch round barrel with standard sights. There is no added screw holes for a scope on this rifle. This model is fairly rare as only 5700 of these rifles were ever produced. Many of these rifles that were chambered for the 218 Bee were drilled and tapped for scopes. It is very hard to find a unaltered model 65 in 218 Bee! This rifle has about 96% of the original bluing on the barrel and forend cap. The receiver has about 94% of the original bluing intact. The stock and forend retain all of the original finish. There is no chips or cracks in the wood. The action works great with no issues. This is a very fine condition Model 65! Ammunition is now available by Hornady Ammunition Co. There will be 2 boxes of fired Brass And One Box Of Factory loaded Ammunition that goes with this rifle. This Is a highly collectable Winchester that would be a first rate addition to any high end collection!
