Alexander Henry of Scotland Beautiful Lightweight 12 Gauge Boxlock Ejector
Description: Here is a very handsome 12 gauge boxlock ejector by Alexander Henry, built circa 1890. The 28" barrels are invisibly sleeved with 2 1/2" chambers. There are areas of pitting in both bores. The chokes are .019/.037 (about modified/full). The gun locks up tight, and the ejectors are in time. The stepped action features carved fences and excellent scroll engraving. There are intercepting sears. The top-lever is engraved with the numeral "2". The fore-end has an engraved lever release. There is a repaired crack at the bottom of the fore-end where wood meets metal. The beautifully figured stock measures 1 5/8" x 2" x 13 3/4" with engraved heel-and-toe plates. The bottom of the butt-stock has an initial plate with a previous owner's initials. There is cast off (for a right hand shot.) The weight is 6 lbs 6 oz. This is a high quality Scottish game gun from a great maker, (and it's very fun to carry in the grouse woods). Antique: Yes Shotgun Gauge: 12 Gauge Price: $2,600.00 Contact Seller |
