Acquired from the guns 2nd owner this between the wars Purdey is in Excellent Condition showing light use and still retains lots of its colors. Made in 1930 this shotgun Benefits from a Concealed Third Fastener (treble grip), Side Clips and Bushed Firing Pins (disk set strikers).The 28” barrels have 2 3/4" chambers and a flat top rib. The left barrel is marked J Purdey & Sons. Audley House. South Audley Street. London, the right barrel is marked Made of Sir Joseph Whitworth’s Fluid Pressed Steel. Chokes are Improved Cylinder and Full. Full coverage rose and scroll engraving pattern. Double triggers, Best quality walnut stock, drop points, traditional English straight hand grip, Splinter forend with Anson release, 14 1/2" LOP over a checkered butt, Cast Off 1/8” at face, 6 Lbs. 12 Oz. The shotgun is presented in an oak & leather case with accessories.
